Learn How Our New PRP Treatments Can Rejuvenate Skin and Reverse Hair Loss

Aging skin and thinning hair are sad realities for most people. However, there are ways to overcome the physical appearance of aging, by helping the body restore itself naturally. Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is a safe, proven treatment that can holistically prompt your body to turn back time.

The Vitality Institute of Agoura in Agoura Hills, California, delivers leading-edge PRP treatments, which can be combined with other services like microneedling for regenerative effects. Our latest PRP treatment method was specifically developed to deliver optimized results with powerful platelet concentration.

How PRP works for cellular rejuvenation

Platelet-rich plasma is created from your own blood. We use the EmCyte PurePRP® System to easily and quickly collect a sample of your blood and separate it using dual centrifuging to concentrate powerful platelets in your biocompatible plasma.

Using this system allows us to provide roughly 25-30% more platelets that standard PRP centrifugation procedures. More platelets means more regenerative power, as growth factors are attracted to the site of the injected PRP instigating rejuvenation.

Uses for PRP

PRP has been used for years across various fields of medicine. It can reduce chronic pain in the joints for arthritis patients, help speed healing after surgery, reduce acne scarring, and even help you to regrow lost hair. At Vitality Institute of Agoura, we concentrate on aesthetic uses for PRP, including facial rejuvenation and hair restoration.

Our PRP process

When you arrive in our office, Dr. Feldman will go over the entire procedure with you before we begin, including determining if we need to combine your PRP treatment with any other treatments or procedures.

If you are looking for hair restoration or facial rejuvenation, Dr. Feldman may recommend our radiofrequency microneedling procedure. This procedure provokes to your body to start healing by creating tiny “micro injuries.”

We use a gentle, handheld device that sends RF energy into your skin through a cluster of microscopic-sized needles. The procedure usually takes about 30 minutes, and we’ll apply a topical numbing cream first and offer you additional medication if you need it to relax.

Unlike many PRP procedures which require injecting the PRP in multiple places, this microneedling procedure leaves your skin ready to accept PRP topically. We carefully apply the prepared PRP over the surface of your face and/or scalp, and allow it to absorb deep into your skin layers.

This allows for maximum delivery of platelets to your skin cells and hair follicles, boosting your body’s natural inclination to regenerate and form new elastin and collagen. It can also lead to skin remodeling, as the restructured skin plumps out fine lines and wrinkles and reduces the appearance of acne scars.
